Werewolves Coming To 'Vampire Diaries' This Fall

It may be called The Vampire Diaries, but a new supernatural force is coming to town.

Last season, vampire haters trying to rid Mystic Falls of the undead used a device that caused so much pain, it made it impossible for any vampire to hide their identity. But Tyler Lockwood, Michael Trevino, showed the same reaction to the device, and he wasn't a vampire. So what caused his unexplainable symptoms?

Wait for it...wait for it... Tyler's transforming into a werewolf next season. Jacob who?

We already told you about Tyler's uncle Mason who returns to Mystic Falls for Tyler's dad's funeral and ends up guiding Tyler through his transformation. This sounds really familiar. And yet, we're excited.

Tweet With Nina Dobrev While Watching 'The Vampire Diaries'

Wouldn't it be amazing to watch The Vampire Diaries while talking to Nina Dobrev about it? Well, next week, fans of the hit CW show will have a chance to do just that.

On Thursday, May 6 Nina will be live on Twitter, chatting with audiences during the network's "Watch and Tweet Week." The CW has set up a special website where participants can interact with the 21-year-old actress from 8 p.m. - 9 p.m. If you've got a burning question for Nina about Elena, or want to find out if there's a real spark between her and co-star Paul Wesley, ask away.

Each day next week, a new star from a different CW series will be tweeting along with their corresponding show. Fans of Life Unexpected will also get a special treat when Kristoffer Polaha (Nate), Shiri Appleby (Kate) and Austin Basis (Math) jump on the site from 9 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.

You've got a few days to come up with questions, and of course, there will be plenty to comment about with next week's episodes. For a full list of celebs involved with Watch and Tweet Week, visit Tweet.cwtv.com.

Vampire Diaries' Sneak Peeks Give Clues About Stefan's Past

As The Vampire Diaries draws closer to its finale on May 13, the skeletons in Stefan's closet are finally creeping out.

In "Blood Brothers," Stefan has a flashback to almost a century and a half ago when the town of Mystic Falls went into a frantic search to round up all of the vampires. You see Stefan and Damon working together to distract the townspeople, and we have good reason to suspect Katherine's involved with the brothers fooling and betraying their family members and neighbors.

Jumping back to 2010 in another clip, Damon asks Elena about her uncle's whereabouts while tinkering with a mysterious antique. He tells Elena that Pearl "thought she was stealing his vampire compass but it was a pocket watch. That Johnathan Gilbert was a crazy scientist."

Elena's Mom Back On 'Vampire Diaries'... And It's Not Pretty!

In the next two episodes of The Vampire Diaries, Elena's relationship with her biological mother goes from non-existent to just plain nasty. The CW teases fans with a new photo of the mother/daughter duo that reads, "Connected to her mother by blood, not love." Oh, snap!

Momma Isobel makes her return to Mystic Falls on April 29 in "Blood Brothers," and thefollowing week is when the OMG moments begin dropping. In "Isobel" (what else would they call the episode?), Elena's mother demands the chance to meet her daughter. However, this turns out to be anything but a happy family reunion. What horrible things do you think she'll tell Elena?

Another relationship that will surprisingly grow stronger for Elena in the next few episodes is her bond with Damon. He'll help her handle this new mama drama and that's going to bring them closer together.

'Vampire Diaries' Sneak Peek: Alaric Warns Elena About Stefan

Tonight's episode of The Vampire Diaries will start to unravel the hidden, darker side of Stefan that's predicated to cause many fans to jump ship to Team Damon.

In a preview for "Under Control," a very muscular (hello, biceps!) Stefan is working out at home when Damon questions his no-human blood diet.

"There's nothing wrong with partaking in a healthy diet of human blood from a blood bank. You're not actually killing anyone," Damon says to persuade his bro.

Then in another clip, Alaric shows Elena a paper her brother wrote titled "Fact or Fiction: The Truth About Vampires in Mystic Falls." Don't worry, Elena is doing a good job hiding her secret because Jeremy took the stance that the vamp tales are bull. But the teach is still concerned about Elena being so closely looped into underground vampire scene.
