Did Nina Dobrev Hold Her Own During the Emmys Opener?

We had a hunch that Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch would be opening up the Emmy Awards with huge musical performance, and while Glee castmates Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Amber Riley were a natural addition, we were kind of surprised to see Nina Dobrev in the mix.

Don't get us wrong -- we love Nina, but aside from watching her slow dance with Stefan, we haven't seen many of her moves, let alone hear her sing. Here's how it went down: the show opened with Jimmy Fallon arriving at the awards and running into the Glee cast. Though nominated for multiple Emmys, the crew was standing outside the theater because they didn't have enough money to cover the cost of the $300-tickets. Jimmy then spots a sign for a regional glee club competition with a top prize of $1205.

The group then sets out to recruit more dancers for their team. They run into several different stars, making us laugh all along the way, but once they kick off their rendition of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run,' that's when Nina jumps out of a dressing room and joins the ensemble on the go.

'Vampire Diaries' Producers Tease New Episode in Video

Although there's bound to be bloody neck biting on next season's The Vampire Diaries, the show's producers want you to know that they're aiming for heartstrings, too.

Executive Producer Kevin Williamson spills, "When we write it, we always want to get to the tears. We want to get to the emotional moment in the show because we feel that's what's going to ground the show and keep people coming back."

Counting down until season two premieres on September 9? Kevin gives only vague hints at what we can expect. "First season was chapter one. This is chapter two. It is one hundred percent connected. It is continuous." Julie Plec, Kevin's co-executive producer, reveals, "I think what we can say very definitively about the first episode back is we are going to tell the audience that Katherine is up to no good."

Yeah, we got that already. Kevin elaborates just a bit by adding, "She does one thing in particular that will be a huge game changer. We, of course, cannot say what it is."

'Vampire Diaries' Season Two Preview Leaks: Katherine Even More Evil Than You Imagined

It's not the greatest quality video, but someone recorded a preview of The Vampire Diaries' season two that was revealed recently at Comic Con. And dang, the claws on Katherine make that super snotty girl in your school seem like a sweet kitten.

Stefan warns Damon, "She's going to try and break us." Is this before or after Katherine drops the bomb that she wants Stefan and tells Damon, "The truth is I've never loved you."

Why, hello, homewrecker. As Katherine probably planned, Damon goes and brags confesses to his brother that he kissed his girlfriend -- not yet realizing Katherine played him into believing that Elena had feelings for him.

You'd think after all that Damon would finally see the light about his malicious vampire love. But no. "He still wants Katherine like an idiot. It's weird you know, love is a really blinding force. It forces us to do things, stupid things," Ian Somerhalder says.

'Vampire Diaries' Announces Season Two Twists

Changes are coming next season to The Vampire Diaries. Premiering at 8PM on Thursday, September 9.

Expect Mayor Lockwood's younger brother to shake things up in Mystic Falls. The role of Mason Lockwood hasn't been cast yet, but we do know this newbie character will be laid-back, athletic, and good looking, plus share his nephew Tyler's quick temper.

As for John Gilbert (you know, the guy who Katherine surprised and chopped off his fingers in the season finale), it's "up in the air right now" if he'll be back.

"They haven't picked up [my] option yet," spills Dave Anders, who plays Elena's adoptive uncle/biological dad. "I feel like the character has a lot of legs and you can go in many different directions with him. But ultimately it's [executive producer] Kevin Williamson's choice."

'Vampire Diaries': Next Season Shows A New Side of the Bros

In the nail biting season finale of The Vampire Diaries, we saw Katherine return to Mystic Falls in full-force. But don't expect this vamp to slow down at all next season.

Ian Somerhalder reveals that his character Damon and Katherine will reunite once again after a century apart. He calls his longtime love "evil," "narcissistic," and "crazy." So much for being a happy couple, huh?

Paul Wesley, on the other hand, reveals that he's going to be the malicious one in his relationship next season. "[Stefan] is always going to be protective of Elena, but there are times that he is going to be tempted by blood. He's a vampire and he has malice inside him. I think it would be a mistake to ignore that."

Paul continues dishing, "Damon will be nicer and Stefan more violent and then they will switch again...If Stefan loses Elena, even for a moment, he loves her and I think he could do anything."

Nina Dobrev and Rupert Grint Open Up About On-Screen Nudity

Every actor is faced with the choice on whether to show skin on camera, and while some are totally comfortable with it, others are not. It's an issue that has divided actors for quite some time, and now stars like Nina Dobrev and Rupert Grint are speaking up about it.

On The Vampire Diaries, Nina's character Elena has had intimate moments with Stefan, but the Canadian actress will only take her on-screen nudity so far.

"I'm very content with not being nude on national television," she said. "I enjoy True Blood myself and I watch the show, but I'm happy that bra and underwear is as stripped down as I can get for [The Vampire Diaries]."

On the other hand, Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has no problem being naked on camera. In fact, the 21-year-old actor bared all in his film Cherrybomb, and showed skin in his new movie Wild Target.

"In Harry Potter it was just a kiss, really. It was suggestive more than anything. This was a lot more intimate," he said of his Cherrybomb scene. "It was quite nerve-wracking." Rupert also calls the experience of shooting his naked Wild Target scene "embarrassing" and "uncomfortable."
