See Hayden Panettiere, Justin Timberlake Honor Teens
TeenNick will hold its first ever Halo Awards to recognize stars and teens changing the world for the better. Hayden Panettiere, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, and LeBron James will join host (and TeenNick chairman!) Nick Cannon to give awards to four teens who are "Helping And Leading Others" (HALO). The show airs Friday, December 11 at 8PM EST on TeenNick. Psst: There will even be a special message from First Lady Michelle Obama!
"There are so many regular young people who are agents of change in their communities, and I wanted to recognize their efforts," says Nick Cannon, whose idea it was to create the award show.
The four teens being acknowledged that night are Brryan Jackson, Megan Kilroy, Darrius Snow and Leah Stoltz. Each spent tons of hours helping a cause that's also near and dear to one of the four celebs. For their hard work, Nick Cannon surprised the teens with a grant for their charity and a scholarship!
Want to make a difference in YOUR community? TeenNick is also running a "Do Good in Your 'Hood with Nick Cannon" sweepstake. Nick Cannon will visit the town of one winner between the ages of 13-24 to lead a community service project. Text HALO to 91757 beginning December 11 to January 10, 2010.
The channel formerly known as The N will soon be re-branded as TeenNick, and guess who has been appointed as its chairman? Nick Cannon!
