Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw to Star in New Disney Series

Mitchel Musso and Doc Shaw are set to star in a brand-new comedy series called Pair of Kings on DisneyXD, beginning this fall. While the show takes place in Chicago, it will start filming in Los Angeles in March.

Pair of Kings follows two 16-year-old fraternal twins in the Windy City, who have been raised by their aunt and uncle. They soon find out that they are the heirs to the throne of an island called Kinkou and move there to become kings.

Mitchel is best known for his role as Oliver on Hannah Montana, while Doc Shaw stars in both Tyler Perry's House of Pain and The Suite Life on Deck. Sound good?

Mitchel Musso Talks About Music and Inspiration in Our Exclusive Interview

Mitchel Musso may have his own self-titled solo album and star in a little show called Hannah Montana, but the 19-year-old is still a down-to-earth guy. We recently sat down with the Disney actor/singer to discuss his past collaborations, his biggest inspiration, and, of course, his music.

"As far as my CD went, when I was trying to classify it in a genre -- everybody always asks, 'What is your music?' [or] 'What is your sound?' -- and to be honest with you, I try to add all elements in music," Mitchel tells JSYK.

"It's weird because I have an ear for all music," he continues. "I can't necessarily play all music, but I definitely like all sounds. The more sounds you have in music...it just changes it up, and that's what we're trying to do -- break boundaries and make different things happen every day."

Watch the full interview below. Mitchel's debut CD is available in stores and on iTunes now.

Mitchel, Tiffany and Keke Float On During Thanksgiving Day Parade

Mitchel Musso, Tiffany Thornton and Keke Palmer braved cold weather in NYC during the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Did you see it on TV?

Check out the photo gallery of the parade below, it's being refreshed throughout the morning as new pics of Mitchel, Tiffany and Keke come in.

This Year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Line-Up

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the biggest Turkey Day tradition in America other than...well, turkey. And celebs and their publicists work like crazy to be a part of the famous parade that has marched down NYC's Broadway for decades and is seen by millions.

There was a brief scandal earlier this month when Macy's invited (and then un-invited) the cast of Glee to perform in the parade. The "official" explanation for the snub was that Glee is on a different network (FOX) than the parade (NBC). Lame, we know. A Glee performance would have so been worth waking up early for!

Luckily, several other stars will be there to cheer us up...

Tiffany Thornton will sing 'I Believe'. Tiffany told us in an exclusive interview just weeks ago, "I'm going to be in New York City for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and I have a duet with Kermit the Frog!" she said. "I'm riding on the Disney Float. It's the last float before Santa."

Why We Heart Mitchel Musso

Mitchel Musso
doesn't like Halloween or scary movies, but he likes Lil Wayne.

He also likes tweeting more than texting and at any given moment, you'll find him hanging out with Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment or the guys from Metro Station.

We learned all of this while chatting with Mitchel last week about his new video for 'Shout It.' We also talked about his girlfriend, the girls at his shows, and how the two don't necessarily go together.

Here's how our conversation went, minus the hellos and goodbyes.

JSYK:
How was your summer tour?

Mitchel: Awesome. Phenomenal. Wild. My first headlining tour, first debut album, first time out there (even though it wasn't my first time out there) and I got to tour with my older brother, Mason and Metro Station. It was bomb. It was a lot of fun. The kids were crazy, we were playing all the venues I wanted to play like House of Blues, The Fillmore, those old rock venues. Huge. It was so much fun every night.

Do you have a favorite memory from the road?

Just every night. I really don't have a favorite city or a favorite state. Just every night being able to play with everybody was awesome. And I love my band. Just playing music all together, you know what I mean? Playing rock shows is always good.

We just posted the video for 'Shout It'...what is the song all about?

It was written by me and my older brother, Mason, because he had that hit, 'Shake It'...Metro Station had 'Shake It.' So we figured, 'Shout It,' made sense. If you listen to the song, he does all the background vocals, he sings in it. He's not in the video, but he definitely sings in it. And the whole song is about letting it out. Kind of like my life, seeing girls at shows...you know, pretty girls at shows. The whole thing is about this girl who comes to the show and she's at every one of my shows and she's always there and I always see her and I guess I just got this thing for her that makes me want to shout it out.
