Loads of Hope was founded in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. The program's disaster relief effort includes a mobile laundromat, which has over 32 washers and dryers capable of cleaning 300 loads of laundry per day. Volunteers like Kelly help by washing, drying and folding clothes for those in need.

The 2009 American Music Awards are kicking off this weekend and all of your favorite stars are ready to hit the red carpet! On Sunday, November 22, the 37th annual event will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, honoring the best in pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B and more.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will be presenting along with Kristen Bell and Colbie Caiilat. Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson and Kings of Leon are among the night's nominated artists, while Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and many more are scheduled to perform. Comic Book Heroes will be rocking a live set at the official after-party, too!

As we previously reported, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus will be among the other performers at the special girl-powered event. Paula Abdul will be hosting, and Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and the cast of Fame are just a few of the exciting presenters of the evening!

VH1 Divas will air live on Thursday, September 17 at 9 p.m. from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in New York.

Like we mentioned in July, VH1 Divas is back with a brand new generation of sizzling singers!
