Earthquake In Chile Moves Earth's Axis

On February 27th, a massive 8.8 earthquake struck the country of Chile. It was the seventh strongest earthquake ever recorded and so powerful, it may have moved Earth's axis by approximately three inches and caused days to become shorter by 1.26 milliseconds. That may not seem like a lot, but it takes a monster-size force to cause such a tiny change.

The earthquake, so far, has claimed more than 700 lives. One of those victims was a girl named Alejandra Bustos, who was found in the rubble wearing her Jonas Brothers T-shirt and with JB poster nearby. Last week, thousands paid their respects to Alejandra, who's known around the Web now as Alejandra Jonas, via Twitter. And the Jonas Brothers posted the following message on their Twitter accounts, as well as on the group's page: "#RIPAlejandraJonas and all the people of Chile our hearts go out to you. We love you."

There were also many people tweeting frustration that Justin Bieber was higher on the list of Trending Topics than Alejandra, to which Justin responded: "Respect eachother. Will continue to keep praying for the people of Chile and Haiti #RIPAlejandraJonas."

Jonas Brothers Named Worst Band at UK Awards Show

The Jonas Brothers might be teen royalty in America, but their popularity across the pond is not as favorable. On Wednesday, the pop trio earned the Worst Band and Worst Album award at the 2010 NME Awards in London, which determines its winners by fan voting.

Green Day, Oasis, Paramore and JLS were also nominated in the Worst Band category this year, while records from U2, Lady Gaga, and Arctic Monkeys were contenders for Worst Album.

NME is a British music magazine, which celebrates rock and indie rock, and according to editor Krissi Murison, over 3.6 million people voted for this year's awards. But did the Jonas Brothers really deserve the what they got? Their last album, 'Lines, Vines and Trying Times' was certified gold or platinum in over six countries, and peaked at No. 9 on the UK charts, so plenty of people love them, even overseas.

Nick Jonas Opens Up to Teen Vogue About 'Who I Am'

Nick Jonas and the Administration are celebrating their record release day today and the Jonas Brother could not be more stoked. "The record is out!" he tweeted. "I am so excited! Please go check it out!"

That's not all Nick has to say about his solo record, 'Who I Am.' The singer-songwriter reveals to Teen Vogue that the music came naturally to him, and he's been waiting to debut these tracks for a long time.

"Songs were pouring out of me," Nick says in the March issue of the magazine. "I've been wanting to do this for three years."

As for the title track, it doesn't take too much deep thought to figure out what inspired Nick. "It's about how I want someone to love me for my passion for music," he says. "It's all I've ever thought about."

'Who I Am' is available in stores and on iTunes today. Want to preview the album before you buy it? Check out our full CD listening party of Nick Jonas' new record here.

Listen to Nick Jonas and the Administration's New Album Now!

The wait is over. Nick Jonas and the Administration's new album, 'Who I Am,' is set to hit shelves tomorrow, but you can listen to the entire CD right here, right now. Sorry, the listening period has ended.

Armed with material he wrote over the course of three years, Nick recorded his solo record at Nashville's Blackbird Studios. The songs just weren't quite right for the Jonas Brothers, but they were perfect for side project.

Unless you've had the privilege of seeing Nick and his band perform live on their month-long tour in January, most people haven't heard much from 'Who I Am' beyond the debut single of the same name. Well, now you and your friends can memorize all the lyrics to the ten bluesy rock tracks below!

Nick Jonas and the Administration's album is available in stores and on iTunes February 2.

Nick Jonas is The Man in VMAN Magazine

Nick Jonas is featured on the cover of the latest issue of VMAN Magazine looking super slick! In the cover story, the 17-year-old opens up to the mag about his solo career and exactly who has inspired him over the years.

"My real musical discovery started when I was 10 with Stevie Wonder and the Jackson 5, and acts that I connected with because they were young when they were doing it, like me," says Nick. "Then I kind of came into my own a couple of years later, I found new artists that shaped my musical landscape. For instance, Kings of Leon played a big part in that."

Nick goes on to talk about the influence his family has had on him (yep, that means Kevin and Joe, and even his dad!), as well as the role his faith has had in his life.

"Every kid at one point or another looks up to his dad. I knew for a long time that I wanted to do something big, and for a long time I thought it was gonna be to take over preaching from my dad," he says. "You wanna feel like what you are doing is important. For that reason, when we go onstage, we pour our hearts out."
