Twilight is inspiring more than just a biting trend. Now teens are flocking to their dentists requesting temporary vampire-style fangs to get the supernatural look.

Twi-hards are paying around $200 for Vampire Veneers, which make the canine teeth longer and sharper. While the procedure isn't anything new, US dentists say there has been a surge in young patients opting for it since the vampire craze has taken off.

The procedure lasts 15 minutes, and involves attaching the veneers to the top of the teeth using a tooth-colored resin. Are they functional? Dr. Dianna Wilde of Floss Dental says yes, but Twi-hards should think twice before re-enacting scenes from Eclipse.

"In the sense that you are able to eat with them, yes, vampire veneers are functional," she explains. "Can you bite somebody on the neck? In theory, but it is not recommended. The veneer is designed to give a vampiric appeal, but not provide any sort of function beyond regular eating habits."

No matter where you turn, people are talking about Twilight, including U.S. senators! During her confirmation hearings this week, Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan appeared before the Senate and was presented with many topics, including how she feels about the case of Edward vs. Jacob.

In the video clip, Senator Amy Klobuchar talks about taking her children to see a midnight showing of Eclipse. With a smile, she then asks the former dean of Harvard Law School, who hasn't seen the film, about her thoughts on vampires vs. werewolves. "I wish you wouldn't," she replies.

Elena Kagan is the first woman to hold the office of Solicitor General of the United States, and, if confirmed, she'll be the fourth woman to ever sit on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The countdown to the release of Eclipse is well underway and we couldn't be more excited. But to get even more psyched for the new film, Twi-hards around the country will have the chance to attend a very special event called 'Twilight Nights,' which is taking place in 12 different major cities on Saturday, June 26!

Fans will be treated to a special screening of New Moon, and in some cities, a showing of Twilight as well. Not only will you be able to get to watch the movies on the night of a full moon, but you'll also get to meet members of the Twilight cast, take part in fun activities and take your picture in a unique photo booth.

'Twilight Nights' will be held in: Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. Doors open at 6 p.m. local time and it's first come, first serve, so you'll need to get there nice and early to guarantee you and your friends entry.

Bella's truck is almost like another character in the Twilight films. The 1963 Chevy has played a part in each of the released movies, and will of course make its way back to the screen in Eclipse. Now, fans have a chance to get their picture taken with the same pickup that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have all sat in.

From June 25 through July 4, Bella's beat-up red truck will be displayed at Universal CityWalk's Cinema Plaza in L.A. Twi-hards are encouraged to take photos of and with the car, which Stephenie Meyer said she picked out all by herself.

Next month, Summit Entertainment's official Eclipse convention will take place at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A., and Twi-hards are in for an extra special treat. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will all be on hand to attend a panel event on Saturday, June 12.

Other stars scheduled to appear at the event include: Booboo Stewart, Christian Serratos and Michael Welch, among others. The three-day convention will take place from June 11-13, and, according to its official Web site, will include celebrity panel discussions and the unveiling of exclusive footage. Attendees will also get to participate in contests, auctions and presentations from major Twilight fan sites.
