Her new movie, The Lovely Bones has only been in theaters for one day, but Saoirse Ronan picked up the award for Best Young Actor at last night's Critic's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

Saorise (pronounced like 'Sersha') hit up the red carpet earlier in the evening along with Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Anna Kendrick, Adam Lambert and Zac Efron.

At 15, Saoirse Ronan already knows the excitement of being nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe. Her work has been greatly applauded, and now the New York native stars in the the film adaptation of the best-selling novel The Lovely Bones, which opens in theaters today.

Saoirse plays 14-year-old Susie, who narrates the story from the afterlife, which is interpreted with the fantastical eye of director Peter Jackson. The depiction of Susie's in-between world is just as fantasy-filled as you would think coming from the man behind the Lord of the Rings films. It's a place that is neither heaven nor Earth, shot with a dreamy sensibility and stunning use of light.
