Long Island pop rockers Push Play made big announcement today. According to the band's record label, the group is "taking a break to pursue personal goals." Super sad news, we know.

Bassist Nick Deturris, guitarist Steve Scarola and drummer Derek Ries will be going to college, while lead singer CJ Baran will be pursing a solo side project. Push Play released their debut album, 'Found,' on September 29, 2009, and pal Emily Osment guest starred in their video for 'Midnight Romeo'.

A lot of times when a band says they're taking a break, they end up parting ways for good. But, calling it a "break" leaves room for a reunion, so fans shouldn't lose all hope.

Push Play has two performances scheduled this month, so you can catch them live one last time. The band will play at the School of Rock in New Jersey on February 13 and are scheduled to perform at the Pop-Con Music Festival with Justin Bieber on February 20.

Selena Gomez and The Scene and Justin Bieber are co-headlining the Pop-Con music festival in Uniondale, NY on February 20. Push Play, Care Bears on Fire, Nat and Alex Wolff and Mercy Mercedes are also set to perform at the all-day concert.

The multi-stage event will also feature games, family-friendly amenities and a "Culture Mall" with plenty of t-shirts and accessories from companies like Glamour Kills and Babycakes. In addition, Pop-Con will offer lectures, seminars and for "young, aspiring artists, actors and actresses looking to get advice from top industry professionals and stars of sport and screen."

Care Bears on Fire has been in L.A. all week shooting an episode of True Jackson, VP with Keke Palmer, and the episode they'll appear in will air in March, 2010!

Though Sophie, Izzy and Jena got time off from school back in Brooklyn, N.Y. to attend the shoot, it certainly didn't mean they got time off from their schoolwork.

"School on set. trying to avoid my physics homework but its looking at me! aaaaaaah it's staring! HELP!" - Sophie tweeted while out in L.A. A day later, she was hitting the books again. "Physics confuses me. good thing i have a six hour plane ride on sunday to figure it out!" Izzy, on the other hand, thought it was ironic that she was out of school in New York, only to be "n school on set in California! "funfun. starting school on set "- she tweeted from L.A.

CBOF are appearing in concert with Push Play on October 3rd in Los Angeles (that will be an awesome show), then they return home to Brooklyn on Sunday...where it's back to school as usual, bright and early Monday morning.
