Emily Osment is busy prepping for the release of her brand-new album -- she just got done with an amazing photo shoot for it -- but in the meantime, she's ready to unveil her first single from the record called 'Let's Be Friends.'

"I am beyond excited for the release of my new single 'Let's Be Friends,'" Emily tells JSYK. "I have been working endlessly to make sure this song is like nothing that you have heard from me yet. I hope you are ready to dance, because I am ready to make you!"

'Let's Be Friends' is a flirtatious dance track with serious attitude that might surprise fans of Emily's infectious pop songs. But trust us -- her confident lyrics and sassy new sound creates a winning combination. We can't stop playing it!

Emily couldn't be more grateful for all of her fans' encouragement, and, in fact, she has a special message for every one of you: "Thank you for all the love and support. My travels through Europe recently, have shown me how lucky I am to have such amazing fans. You really do keep me going. Check out the single premiere on JSYK, and I will see you in concert soon."

Emily Osment is getting ready to release her new album this fall, but her first single will be unveiled next week. 'Let's Be Friends' is the ultimate dance/pop track, and we'll be premiering it right here on Monday, June 7!

In the meantime, Emily has been hard at work, prepping for her new record. She recently went to Palm Desert, Calif. for her album photo shoot, which took almost 13 hours!

But, by the looks of this exclusive behind-the-scenes video, It was all worth it. Emily got to dress up in gorgeous outfits, and use plenty of "fun, silly props" like an oversized umbrella and colorful balloons.

"The first thing I envisioned for this photo shoot was the red dress and the combat boots and that was the first thing we did," she says. "And we went out to the desert, and the hair was just massive and awesome."
