According to People, the Twilight star recently served on a Los Angeles jury in a three-day trial during which a security guard reportedly asked to take a picture with Kristen. She agreed, but when the photo was posted on the Internet, it put the security guard in danger of losing his job.

Why was Kristen even in the courtroom in the first place? Well, when people are accused of a crime, they are entitled to a trial in front of a jury of peers. This group of peers is made up of American citizens over the age of 18, who are required to perform this service on occasion. Although Kristen is a celebrity, she is still a member of the community and was selected as a juror.

So what's the problem? According to the L.A. Superior Court, the use of cameras inside the courtroom is prohibited -- you're not allowed to take photos at all. As for what went down, a court spokeswoman told People that the court doesn't comment on jurors, and Kristen's rep had no comment.

The artists, who all have songs on the film's soundtrack 'Almost Alice,' will perform live at the Hollywood and Highland Center in L.A. on February 19 at 5 p.m.

In addition to the sweet set, Tim Burton will be on hand to introduce cast members and a sneak peek of the actual movie! Guests will also get to hang out in a virtual Wonderland on the third floor of the Hollywood and Highland Center, as it will be transformed into a full Alice in Wonderland-themed environment.

We know, it's kind of unfair that this is only going down in L.A., but fans who can't be there will have the chance to stream the entire event via Ustream. Gotta love the Internet!

'Almost Alice' will be available in stores on March 2, while Alice in Wonderland opens in theaters on March 5. We're less than a month away!

But the action of Super Bowl 44 wasn't just on the field -- it was in between plays when some amazing commercials from Doritos, Monster.com and PopSecret/Emerald Nuts aired.

There were plenty of memorable commercials, but we've picked five that had us cracking up. PopSecret and Emerald Nuts combined forces and showed humans doing tricks for snacks. Their tag line was "Awesome + Awesome = Awesomer." This was super silly, but still gave us a good chuckle.

Monster.com tried to show that no matter who you are, the job website can help you get on the right path. In their spot, we see a beaver who's got more talent than just building dams. He's a violinist, and after using the job website, he scored a, um, better life.

The Nicholas Sparks adaptation starring Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum took in $32.4 million, while Avatar came in second with $23.6 million.

After eight-weeks in theaters, Avatar has earned a whopping $630.1 million, but these most recent numbers may be a sign that people are over the Na'vi people and ready for romance (Valentine's Day is this weekend after all).

However, Amanda thinks that Dear John is "different" from other romance films, and ultimately, audiences are want to see inspiring movies no matter what they're about.

"I know Avatar is a huge blockbuster and everyone wants to see it and everyone is inspired by that, but that is unique," she says. "I know obviously it's in theaters today, but that is just a really unique film and it brings so much inspiration. I think [Dear John] is the type of movie that normally does [inspire] and isn't out enough."

I actually think he's an attractive guy. And I watched most of Twilight, and I think he was really intriguing."

Jealous much? We're think a lot of girls would prefer Paul to Rob, but it sounds like the Vampire Diaries star is a Pattinson fan after all. But despite their similarities, Paul insists his show is no Twilight 2.0. "The books were written 15 years ago - before Twilight. It's a very original story, and it's important to me that my character and the whole story's judged for what it is."

'Don't Stand So Close To Me/Young Girl' is an obvious choice, but with lyrics like, "I work hard every day of my life" and "Can anybody find me somebody to love?," we think the Queen cover, 'Somebody to Love' best describes Tory's short-lived relationship. And maybe that dinner was strictly business to discuss Taylor's future appearance on Glee.

But following them can also equal hints at future episodes, updates on which locations shows are currently filming at, photos and more behind-the-scenes info that would be pretty hard to come by otherwise and faster than any fan site can blog about.

Lucky for us, The Vampire Diaries cast are big tweeters. Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert), Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) and Zach Roerig (Matt) are all on Twitter. It's important to note that these are their personal accounts. Unlike the cast of Glee, who maintain personal Twitter accounts and character accounts.

Just this week Nina tweeted some details from the show: "filming at the Salvatore house...Love this estate." She even sent a funny tweet to the Vampire Diaries' executive producer, Julie Plec, with her own wishes for the show's storyline.

"Its freeeeezing. I have an idea @julieplec, can Elena discover her real father is Jamaican and she, stefan+ damon go find him there next EP?"

My World has already hit platinum-selling status (that's over 1 million records), and four record-breaking singles from the album have been released. Most artists take a year or more to release their sophomore album, but with the overwhelming success and demand for the Canadian pop star, execs may have thought it best to not keep fans waiting for new songs.

If this is a new strategy among record label execs, we're not complaining. And if it gives Beliebers more music to be psyched about without the wait, we think it's a great move. Maybe we'll get My World 3.0 this summer!

Spoiler alert! We don't want to give away the ending of Dear John, but Amanda Seyfried kind of does in our recent interview with the 24-year-old star.

"I'd make it happier," she says about changing the end of the movie. "I was so depressed after I saw the first cut of that film."

Uh oh! Well, we knew that the Nicholas Sparks adaptation would be a tear-jerker, so an emotional ending is a given. But is it too sad?

As for the the roles of Savannah and John, it's no wonder why Amanda and co-star Channing Tatum were cast. The two actors have had plenty of experience with romance films in their careers, but ideally, they'd both like to flip the switch and change things up a little.

"I kind of want to play a villain," Channing admits. "I haven't played a villain yet and I want to go down that dark road and see what happens."

Miley Cyrus has been toting her new furry alarm clock all over town lately. Alarm clock? "Slept in until my puppy Mate woke me up with kisses @ 10:30!" Miley wrote on her blog. .

Mate is seriously one of the most adorable dogs we've ever seen, so it's no wonder why Miley constantly wants to scoop him up. But The Last Song star has another reason to hold him so much: she won't be able to for very long. She acknowledged in her blog that she wouldn't be able to take him everywhere that much longer saying that, because of his breed, Mate will weigh up to 125 pounds eventually.

Miley's exaggerating a bit on Mate's size, unless she's planning to feed him a lot. Dogs like Mate usually weigh about 75 pounds once they're fully grown. Do you think Miley's newest pack member should have been a toy dog like Riley, the Maltipoo Yorkie that Kevin and Danielle Jonas recently brought home?

And tonight's episode promises to be just as thrilling as last week's, which was packed with new characters and new romances, because we finally get to see Katherine in all her evil vampire glory. Yup, things are going to get bloody.

According to Moviefone, the country singer will play a church youth leader in Soul Surfer, a biopic based on surfing star Bethany Hamilton, who was lost her arm in a shark attack at age 13.

Sixteen-year-old AnnaSophia Robb plays the movie's main character, Bethany (here she is filming scenes in Oahu, Hawaii), and will share the big screen with Carrie. The religious role won't be too far of a stretch for the American Idol alum -- she has been very vocal about her Christian faith in both the media and in her songs.

These days, it's not surprising to hear about a musician-turned-actor. Carrie joins the likes of Taylor Swift (her movie Valentine's Day comes out next week!), Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and many more who have crossed over to the big screen. Some are successful, others should stick to their day job.

Which category will Carrie fit under? We'll have to wait to find out, but we have a hunch that she'll do just fine. Soul Surfer begins filming this week.

The new besties went on a walk around the neighborhood last Wednesday, soaking in the sun and good times. But while Miley's been blogging about her adorable new German Shepherd, many people are wondering if that's really the kind of dog he is.

Well, it's true. Although, German Shepherds generally have long, square muzzles, large ears that stand up tall and tan/black coats, Mate is, in fact, a White German Shepherd, also called a White American Shepherd.

Sure, he's got floppy ears, a white coat and looks a lot more like a Golden Retriever mix, but do a quick online search for the breed and you'll see more impossibly cute pics of pups just like Mate.

Of course, we're not dog experts, so Miley's dog could very well have traces of other breeds in him, too, but for now, you can stop looking at Mate with a raised eyebrow. He's definitely a German Shepherd!

Based on Rick Riordan's best selling series, 'The Lightning Thief' introduces Percy Jackson, a boy who soon finds out that he's half human, half god. Percy is accused of stealing Zeus' powerful lightning bolt, which sets him on a mission to find it and prove his innocence. If he doesn't, an all out war could break loose.

The film's score was created by the Emmy-winning composer Christophe Beck. Listen to a selection of songs from the soundtrack below, and get an idea of what's in store when Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief opens in theaters on February 12.

In addition to her Oscar nom, she's also been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, a far cry from the RAZZIE awards her Twilight co-stars earned.

For now, Anna isn't commenting on her future endeavors, partly because she's still in shock over her Oscar nom. She wrote on her Twitter page, "I'd love to say that 140 characters couldn't cover how I'm feeling right now but I'm honestly speechless."

The series is completely celeb-based, attempting to "broaden the scope of who reads comics," says publisher Bluewater Productions.

Rob's 32-page comic book will be released this May, and will "trace Pattinson's career from his first performance in Tess of the D'Urbervilles at London's Barnes Theatre to his star turn in the Twilight movies."

The series is biographical, so Rob's comic will basically tell a greater part of his life story. But is this really necessary? At this point, Twi-fans and Robert Pattinson fans are one in the same, which means Twi-hards already know everything there is to know about the actor, and with the release of the Twilight graphic novel, fans can get their comic book fill that way.

However, several comics in the Fame series have already sold out, so there's definitely a demand for them. Plus, true Rob fans are probably excited for any new product featuring the British actor, even if it doesn't have any new info in it. We'll see what happens when Fame: Robert Pattinson arrives on shelves this spring.

According to the band's record label, the group is "taking a break to pursue personal goals." Super sad news, we know.

 Bassist Nick Deturris, guitarist Steve Scarola and drummer Derek Ries will be going to college, while lead singer CJ Baran will be pursing a solo side project. Push Play released their debut album, 'Found,' on September 29, 2009, and pal Emily Osment guest starred in their video for 'Midnight Romeo'.

A lot of times when a band says they're taking a break, they end up parting ways for good. But, calling it a "break" leaves room for a reunion, so fans shouldn't lose all hope.

Push Play has two performances scheduled this month, so you can catch them live one last time. The band will play at the School of Rock in New Jersey on February 13 and are scheduled to perform at the Pop-Con Music Festival with Justin Bieber on February 20.

Well, Finn won't be little for very long -- Amanda says he'll grow up to be a 50-pound dog! Miley Cyrus' new German Shepherd, Mate, will also be a big guy when he's an adult, which makes us wonder: are purse-sized dogs in or out?

We're used to seeing portable pups with their celeb masters, but with stars like Amanda and Miley choosing large breeds, we smell a new trend sparking.

Mattel has created "Puppy Tweets," a dog tag device that will post pre-written messages on a Twitter profile that you create for your dog. The tag senses what your pooch is doing during the day and sends tweets about it. Say Rufus is catching some Zzz's, a tweet will then post to his account telling his followers, ""Somedays it feels like my paw is permanently on the snooze button!" If it senses your dog is barking, it will let you know that too.

It's hard to believe that anyone ever broke up with Channing Tatum, especially considering how handsome he looked on the red carpet of the Dear John premiere in Los Angeles on Monday. That girl is probably kicking herself now!

Channing posed for pics with his co-star Amanda Seyfried, who rocked this stunning navy and silver block dress for the celeb-filled event. She accessorized with drop earrings, a clutch and platform peep-toes that completed her look perfectly.

Channing's wife, actress Jenna Dewan, also showed up to the screening to support her husband along with Haylie Duff, Max Ehrich and many others. Of course, author Nicholas Sparks, who wrote the book from which the film was adapted, was also there.

In her cover story, the 20-year-old Australian native opens up about the challenges of playing Alice, which wasn't easy since the movie takes a new approach to a classic story. "One of the things that was scary about taking on that role is the huge fan base; everybody has their own idea of who she is," she says. "So [Tim Burton and I] discussed, very early on, just being happy with her being our Alice...making her my own."

But don't worry, purists. Mia says fans of the original tale will likely love the new adaptation because it enforces a strong message. "I really think it will be exciting, especially for girls my age because it explores that period of your life when you have these expectations upon you and you're finding that, amongst that, you have to try and hold on to yourself."

That's not all Nick has to say about his solo record, 'Who I Am.' The singer-songwriter reveals to Teen Vogue that the music came naturally to him, and he's been waiting to debut these tracks for a long time.

"Songs were pouring out of me," Nick says in the March issue of the magazine. "I've been wanting to do this for three years."

As for the title track, it doesn't take too much deep thought to figure out what inspired Nick. "It's about how I want someone to love me for my passion for music," he says. "It's all I've ever thought about."

On Monday, Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. The new fantasy adventure film is centered around Percy, a young boy who finds out he's a demigod with special powers. Percy is accused of stealing Zeus' master lightning bolt and, with the help of his best friends Annabeth and Grover, sets on a journey to find it before a war between the gods occurs.

Fellow co-stars Kevin McKidd, Steve Coogan and Pierce Brosnan were also on hand to celebrate the premiere. Kevin plays Percy's father Poseidon; Steve plays Poseidon's brother, Hades; and Pierce is cast as the centaur Chiron.

Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum are gearing up for the release of their epic romance film Dear John, and we got to talk to the two stars all about it!

The movie follows a Savannah and John, who fall in love while John is on leave from the Army and Savannah is on break from school. One of the unforgettable scenes is the heart-melting kiss in the rain we've seen in the latest movie clip. So naturally, we wanted to know if Channing had any real-life experiences like the one in the movie.

"I'm from Florida, and it rains pretty much all the time, so yes, I did for sure," he tells JSYK. "Everyday after school, [at] 2:30, 3 o'clock, it's raining, so absolutely."

As for Amanda's past, she reveals that she had a high school love that has stuck with her for years. "It was with a boy who I was obsessed with, in a way, because I thought he was a cross between Leo Dicaprio and Justin Timberlake, in my eyes, when I was 14," she explains. "He was a senior and I was a freshman and he wanted to date me. He was a friend of my sister and he found some weird sophistication that he thought I had that my friends didn't. So we dated and I totally couldn't deal with the fact that he liked me so much, so I dumped him like three months later."

The 21-year-old actress seems to be a fan of books that later turn into movies. "I've read The Lovely Bones. I've read all the Lord of the Rings books," she says. "I love fantasy and sci-fi." Then she must really heart her job!

The stars of The Vampire Diaries had dinner and hung out NYC's 675 Bar along with the magazine's staff and other VIP guests. Judging by all of our party photos, everyone had a blast!

The cover story features the three stars of the hit CW series, talking in-depth about what makes the show such a smash. And, yes, references to Twilight are made, but Paul says there are many other reasons why The Vampire Diaries is so "special."

"...It would be ignorant and arrogant of me not to have an appreciation for the fact that we happen to be coming out at a time when movies like Twilight are some of the highest-grossing films of all time," Paul says. "Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren't for all that? No. But it's not 100 percent reliant on it."

Rachelle has had a busy month leading up to her big birthday. She starred in the first two episodes of ABC's new series The Deep End, and her Twitter challenge, in which the 31-year-old actress encouraged fans to give blood to the American Red Cross, proved to be a success. Rachelle also donated her own blood and $1000 to the organization in light of the Haiti earthquake. She's talented and charitable!

Although we won't be seeing the Canadian actress return as Victoria in Eclipse (Bryce Dallas Howard has taken over the role), we still back her talent and do-gooder ways. Happy birthday, Rachelle!

After calling himself a big, awkward Canadian, the 27-year-old explains to E! News, "I think it was just like self-consciousness that came from having to dance all of a sudden on a national television show. I think I'm less awkward then when I started, but I'm still pretty freaking awkward."

Poor guy. But things get even sadder for Cory. When talking about Valentine's Day, he says, "That's such a painful holiday... think about all the people who are single for Valentine's Day. That sucks, right? When it's Valentine's Day, I always think about all the people that, you know, who got dumped on Valentine's Day or broke up with their partners on Valentine's Day. "Growing up in Hollywood and in the entertainment industry, I've seen girls get bombarded with pressure to always diet, cover up their flaws and get plastic surgery to try and look like the magazine images," she tells JSYK. "Everywhere I looked, girls were unhappy and always chasing these ideals."

Beyond her music, which does address these issues, Caitlin was inspired to launch LoveYourFlawz.com, a website that highlights people of all shapes and sizes, who embrace their imperfections as who they are. "I found myself just as obsessed with this insanity as everyone else," she admits. "But because I had had enough of feeling that way, I've been on a quest to help counteract the cycle."

Hundreds of people have submitted their own photos and supported the positive body image campaign, including celebrities like Emily Osment and Jordin Sparks.

"I just keep thinking back to when you're in second grade and you sing in the talent show for the first time and people joke around and say, 'Maybe we'll see you at the Grammys some day.' But that just seems like an impossible dream," she said during one of her Grammy acceptance speeches. "I just feel like I'm standing here accepting an impossible dream."

So what do you do when you win four Grammys? You try to hold them all at once and pose for photos, duh. Unfortunately, that didn't work out so well for Taylor and she ended up dropping one of them.

Did you watch the Grammys? The awards just wrapped up and here's the score. Taylor Swift walked away with the biggest award of the night, Album of The Year. Honestly, Taylor was up against some tough competition, but she won the category and also took home three other Grammys. She also performed during the show -- a cool mash-up of her new 'Valentines Day' single 'Today Was A Fairytale,' and 'You Belong With Me' with Fleetwood Mac alum, Stevie Nicks!

Are Cory Monteith, 27, and Taylor Swift, 20, a couple or just good buddies? The Glee star and the country starlet reportedly grabbed dinner earlier this week and then were hanging out at a Grammy party in Hollywood last night. We soooo called this.

Swift was also spotted getting a hug and a lick (eww) from Katy Perry. Check out photos below of Taylor accepting her very first Grammy earlier today. Tay is nominated for eight Grammys and she picked up an award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song (for 'White Horse') during a pre-telecast presentation.

"This is my first Grammy, you guys," she gushed. " I mean, this is a Grammy! I live in awe of the people I was nominated with in this category...and thank you to anyone who was a Grammy voter and decided it might be a good idea to vote for me for this because I'm so happy. Thank you so much."

1. Taylor Swift will wear a sparkly dress. Taylor Swift is almost always in a dress, so that won't be a shocker (in fact, it'd be more gasp-worthy if she wore pants to the occasion), but from what we know about Tay, she'll rock a shiny number for the awards ceremony. The 20-year-old singer is a near-permanent fixture on best-dressed lists, so while it's possible for sequins to make you look like a grandma, we're sure she'll wear them well.
