Eighteen-year-old Bronson Stewart's dog Buck really is his best friend. After Buck was hit by a car, Bronson took the 5-month-old pooch to the vet. What he was told next shocked him.

The veterinary clinic in New Zealand told Bronson that the surgery to help Buck, who was in a great deal of pain, would cost $2,500. If he couldn't pay it, they would put Buck to sleep. The teen's family doesn't have much money and they offered to pay the vet's office $3.50 a week, but the offer was turned down. Facing losing his puppy forever, Bronson asked to see Buck one last time and used that opportunity to run away with his furry buddy.

"I just knew I had to get my dog back. He's like my brother. They can't just kill him because I haven't got any money," Bronson pleaded.

Miley Cyrus is still carrying Mate around like a baby, but she knows those days are numbered.

That's why she's traded in her eco-friendly Toyota Prius for a much bigger Mercedes Benz SUV a couple weeks ago. But don't worry, she's still keeping the environment in mind when she drives.

Miley explained to fans on her blog, "Hey guys! Yesterday I got photographed in my new car and I want everyone to know I still haven't given up hybrids! Mercedes came out with a new hybrid suv and I love it! It's blueish/blackish/purplish. Haha! I got a new dog named Mate who's a German Shepard so like I said in a previous blog he is kinda out growing my prius! Anyways I love yall!"

Now if only Miley would ditch that awful shredded shirt you voted as the worst celebrity fashion crime last month.

The only thing more adorbs than Kellan Lutz may be his dogs, Kola and Kevin. Both of his four-legged best friends were adopted and now Kellan's encouraging you to do the same.

In a new ad for PETA, Kellan hugs Kola with the words "Adopt, Don't Buy" underneath them. In the upper corner of the ad, it reads, "Buying Animals Is Killing Animals. Save a homeless dog or cat - always adopt and never buy."

After a bad breakup, Kellan adopted Kola from a shelter in Los Angeles and now considers her "the love of his life." Awww. But Kellan's love for homeless animals doesn't stop there. Kevin, a Chihuahua, joined the Lutz fam after Kellan's roommate found the pup walking outside his house. Kellan nursed the sick pooch back to health and now the three amigos enjoy going for jogs around Kellan's neighborhood.

Amanda Seyfried took her new dog Finn for a walk around L.A. on Saturday. The Dear John star took in some fresh air with her Australian Shepherd, who seemed like he was having a great time.

Amanda hit the streets with some pals, stopping to talk to people along the way. At one point, the actress stopped to take a call on her cell phone, but Finn didn't mind. He got a sweet kiss from his master and a whole lot of love the rest of the day.

It also looks like Finn has grown quite a bit since we last saw him. When Amanda's furry friend was snapped at the airport in January, he looked smaller and more puppy-like than he does now. But as a breed that can weight anywhere from 50-65 pounds, it's no wonder Finn is growing fast.

The hugely popular Shiba Inu Puppy Cam has made its way back on the Internet. Watch live video on Ustream of mom Kika and her second litter of red and cream Shiba Inu pups as they play, fight, eat and bark and, most of all, sleep. The litter is made up of three boys and two girls born on January 16th and as we're writing this, Kika is giving one pup a bath by licking him.

The original puppy cam, Kika's first litter, was born in October 2008 and each pup's name began with an 'A.' This time around, the litter's being dubbed the 'B-team' and each dog's name begins with the letter B - the oldest is named Bella. Maybe the owner's a Twilight fan?

Miley Cyrus has been toting her new furry alarm clock all over town lately. Alarm clock? "Slept in until my puppy Mate woke me up with kisses @ 10:30!" Miley wrote on her blog. .

Mate is seriously one of the most adorable dogs we've ever seen, so it's no wonder why Miley constantly wants to scoop him up. But The Last Song star has another reason to hold him so much: she won't be able to for very long. She acknowledged in her blog that she wouldn't be able to take him everywhere that much longer saying that, because of his breed, Mate will weigh up to 125 pounds eventually.

Miley's exaggerating a bit on Mate's size, unless she's planning to feed him a lot. Dogs like Mate usually weigh about 75 pounds once they're fully grown.
