Werewolves Coming To 'Vampire Diaries' This Fall

It may be called The Vampire Diaries, but a new supernatural force is coming to town. Last season, vampire haters trying to rid Mystic Falls of the undead used a device that caused so much pain, it made it impossible for any vampire to hide their identity. But Tyler Lockwood, Michael Trevino,showed the same reaction to the device, and he wasn't a vampire. So what caused his unexplainable symptoms?
Wait for it...wait for it... Tyler's transforming into a werewolf next season. Jacob who?
We already told you about Tyler's uncle Mason who returns to Mystic Falls for Tyler's dad's funeral and ends up guiding Tyler through his transformation. This sounds really familiar. And yet, we're excited.
"Having him there and having him take me under his wing, Tyler's going to start to see certain things and notice certain things within Uncle Mason," spills Michael. Mason will be "a guide to the inner rage of Tyler, and why is he this way, and why's he always fighting with himself emotionally."
Haven't we seen this angst and inner-turmoil before in another werewolf?
Don't expect Stefan and Damon to react kindly to sharing the town with a new species when the show returns this September. Michael dishes, "I think [the vampires] will be the first to catch on. Right off the bat, no, they're not gonna like it. They're going to go nuts."

In no way is this like Twilight.
First of all, TVD was made waaay before Twilight, and second: Its a tv show.
Third of all, it is way more awesome, I mean...if TVD had Ian Somerhalder? Err, yes.

ok what does dating sites have to do with vampire diaries. which i hate the show but still if u want to talk about the dating site go on the site urself and if ur dieing to tell someone about it get a facebook or something. cuzz younger kids get on this site too. so remember and be considerate of who might be on this site.

The original Vampire Diaries books came out in the early 90's. The author has written new installments in the series. So the books that came out a few months b4 twilight are the newer ones. No one is copying anyone!! I love both twilight and the Vampire Diaries, and i believe that the may have some similarities but they are different.

This seems like.. off topic... umm.. Vampire diaries is the best, and everyone tht thinks they are copying Twilight they are wrong. I mean i lovve Twilight but Vampire Diaries was written 10 years before Twilight so if it has werewolfs in it.. then i itll have werewolfs in it! Why is everybody so comparitive!! (:

the vampire diaries book was published a month before twilight so there not copying twilight

ur totally right! vampire diaries came out about a month b4 twilight did so vampire diaries didnt copy twilight and twilight didnt copy vampire diaries. and theres tons of books, movies and tv shows about werewolves, vampires or both. So stop comparing cuz u can like both or one and not the other! its ur opinion but i dont think anyone copied and one!

I love The Vampire Diaries AND Twilight... a lot! They are not alike at all. The only way they are similar is the fact that its about vampires, and soon werewolves.
The plots are totally different from each other.
I can't wait for this next season, it's gonna be epiccc :)
