Selena Gomez's Fashion Line Gets Some Competition From Madonna

Who else better to launch a new clothing line than the Material Girl herself? Madonna and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon are working together on an affordable fashion collection for teens called (what else?) Material Girl. The line will be available in Macy's stores and online at Macys.com beginning this August with pieces ranging from $12 to $40. That's just a couple weeks after Selena Gomez drops her Dream Out Loud line on July 15. Judging by Lourdes' hipster style, Material Girl will be more trendy while Selena's going for a girly, boho vibe.
Madonna and Lourdes' collection will include shirts, skirts, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and more. To create the line, Madonna partnered with Iconix, a brand also linked to Bongo and Candie's, as well as high-end designers like Badgley Mischka. In 2011, this Madonna/Iconix collaboration (called MG Icon) may also launch a perfume and other beauty products.

well ya! i mean really its madonna! and judging by her daughters outfit, i am probably gonna be 1 of tha 1st 2 get an outfit from the material girl collection. i mean dont get me wrong i luv selena n my style is very much based on hers. But madonna is well...MADONNA!!! She HAS NO competition!!( and btw i would LOOVE 2 BE MADONNA'S DAUGHTER!!) lol so ya i am probably getting both collections :-)

I think Selena's clothing line will definitely surpass Lourdes/Madonna's because her's is more for younger people. But I think they'll both do good.

I don't think Madonna's clothing line is going to hurt Selena's "Dream Outloud". Madonna's only makin' her's available @ Macy's, and Selena's not just goin' with one store, unless it's like Target or somewhere. And Selena's prices will be reasonable unlike Madonna's. Madonna is a has been, and Selena rules. Her clothing line is gonna rock, just like she does, and also she's goin' to make one for males too. That;'ll be awesome.

We also DON’T think Madonna's clothing line is going to hurt Selena's "Dream Out loud". Madonna's clothing line has a different style & she’s will only make hers available @ Macy's which we all know won’t be at a reasonable price that’s for sure!! Selena's prices will be reasonable besides Madonna is a has been & we don't like their style, & SELENA RULES & we love her style!!!! :) Her clothing line is gonna totally rock, just like she does we can’t wait for July 15 so we can go shopping yay:)

I think their clothes lines will have different styles, and both will reach different age groups.

A: Totally not, girls are way more familiar with Selena Gomez than Madonna.
B: To clarify things up, the girl next to Madonna is her daughter. (Does anyone know how to pronounce Madonna's daughter's name.)
