Seventh Grade Quarterback David Sills Gets Recruited by USC
Most 13-year-olds are more concerned with their weekend plans than college plans. But David Sills isn't like most teens.Besides the obvious difference between David and his classmates – he already towers at six feet tall – he's just verbally committed to playing football for USC after high school graduation. Yup, he's been recruited for college football and he's only in the seventh grade.
David is a teenage quarterback from Bear, Delaware who's continually amazing his coaches and the college football circuit.
"His skill set is off the chart. I've never seen anyone at his age do what he's been able to do," says Steve Clarkson, David's personal coach. How's David's family handling the news? "I'm as shocked as anybody," his dad says. "But David's always wanted to go to USC. I mean, is there a better place to play football in the country? How can you pass up the best offer you're ever going to get?"
