Robert Pattinson As Spider-Man? We're Not Sold.

With Sony's recent announcement that the new Spider-Man film would be moving forward without Tobey Maguire, many are wondering who will play Spidey in the fourth installment of the series. If we believe the rumors, Robert Pattinson is in talks to play the Marvel Comics character, but would he really be a good fit?According to Sony reps, Spider-Man 4 will follow Peter Parker in his teenage years. The future hero is still in high school and "dealing with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises."
Well, the British actor has certainly mastered those by playing Edward Cullen! Rob can also pass as a high schooler -- he's aced the forever-young vampire thing -- and the American accent is no obstacle, but we're still not sold on RPatz as a young Spidey. Also, the movie is slated for a Summer 2012 release, so we're wondering if Rob could even fit another blockbuster into his busy Twilight filming and promotion schedule.
Who else could be a contender for the iconic role? The rumor mill has named Michael Cera as a possibility, but what about other celebs like Lucas Till or David Henrie? You tell us...

i HATE Michael Cera, there isn't a way around it. Tobey is the best spidey, of course I dont much care for his acting, but he does a perfect peter parker. I'm sorry, I love you Rob, (sweet, sweet Rob) but I dont think he has the guts or the looks to be Spider Man or any super hero really. Don't mess with MY Spider Man

ok calm down! michael is by far a great actor! there is just dat "im cool deal with it" attitude in his acting, and although i also admire Rob there is just no way he can be spidey! it just doesnt seem right! I SAY IT WILL BE BEST IF WE JUST KEEP TOBEY! he is an awsome spidey and hes been spidey for 3 movies, why take him off now!?

None of those actors do it for me. I think Ryan Kelley might make a good spiderman though. And as for Tobey Maguire, he was good as Spiderman but I heard that it's by his own choice that he's not continuing.

He'd make a great Spiderman, too. Peter Parker is entirely composed of gangly, skinny, awkwardness. I don't understand anyone who thinks Taylor Lautner or Robin Williams would make a good Spidey.
(Spiderman is my all-time fave superhero.)
