Selena Gomez Quits the Internet?
First Miley Cyrus deleted her Twitter account and now Selena Gomez has given up the Internet. Seriously. While the Wizards of Waverly Place star used to be an avid tweeter and video maker, she no longer hits the World Wide Web.In a recent interview with Seventeen magazine for its annual prom issue, Selena reveals that she's gone offline. "I've given up the Internet," she says. "I don't read comments, and I don't go on any of the sites anymore, and I just feel better."
She also adds, "And it's not about being a celebrity -- you get on MySpace, Facebook, there's all these different outlets where people can just feel like nobody's watching them so they can just say whatever they want to say, and that gets dangerous sometimes."
But the 17-year-old actress/singer is looking on the bright side. "I get hurt -- everybody does -- but I'm more at the point where I'm looking at all the good things in my life," she says. "I have a healthy family who's alive that I'm blessed to have, and wonderful friends."
Watch the behind-the-scenes video from Selena's cover shoot below. Seventeen's 2010 Prom issue is on newsstands now.

Since you've stopped reading the internet you'll probably not see this, but just wanted to say that my daughter and I met you recently at a restaurant near the airport and you were so gracious and sweet. Thank you for making my daughter's day. It meant so much to her that you took a photo with her and gave her a huge hug. Thank you for being so nice!!

Same here. Fox "News" is evil incarnate.

It's hard to wade through the bias and lies on Fox, isn't it. I'm not crazy about CNN either. If you want to get more unbiased facts and less spin, try the AP site. They provide news to newspapers all over the country so they have to be unbiased so as not to offend anybody. Gosh, remember that kind of journalism? Actually giving us facts without screaming at us about what to believe?

@ SAXCANC.. Me, too. Gave it up about 3 years ago. Couldn't agree more.
And, hey, "Danoh".. who are you supposed to be, Jack Nicholson?? ("YOU can't HANDLE the truth!!!") LOL Gimme a break. You obviously don't fact check those people. I have. And, the 'truth' you speak of? It's called brain washing. Feeding and preying off of people's emotions, fears, and ignorance (i.e. "THE SKY IS FALLING", or yellng "FIRE!" in a crowed theater). That's all it is. They make things up, and they're very clever the way they pass it off. They always say, "Some people are saying..", or "Sources say..", when in fact, it's FOX that's saying it, and creating the story with nothing factual to back it up. Just like when they recycle video to make protests look bigger. Start paying attention, and you'll notice what I'm talking about ("Some are saying..", "Sources say.."). It's FOX that's saying it, as a way of getting it on the air without having to back it up, so that they're not "technically" lying (but, they are). Fact check what they say. I used to watch Beck, even before he was on FOX. I used to watch O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. Then, one day, I woke up.
