Corbin Bleu Gets Musical Again

Corbin Bleu's leaving the stage at East High for the bright lights of Broadway. He'll soon play the lead role in the award-winning show "In the Heights."

According to Variety, Corbin will take center stage on January 25, 2010 as Usnavi, a young bodega owner. Corbin's theatrical gig will run for 13 weeks and he'll take his final bow on April 25.

Now a Los Angeles resident, Corbin was born in Brooklyn, NY so his time on Broadway will give him a welcome chance to come home after a busy year. In March,
Corbin released "Speed of Light," his second solo album.

We bet a few familiar faces will show up to cheer Corbin when the curtain rolls up for the first time. His High School Musical co-stars are already tweeting his praises. Monique Coleman wrote "So proud @corbinbleu."

Us, too! Comment below if you'd like to congratulate Corbin also.
