When Did You Get a MySpace/Facebook Page?
These days, everyone seems to have a MySpace or Facebook account, and, according to CNN, a new survey says that 38 percent of young people ages 12-14 have an online profile of some sort, even though the sites require users to be at least 13 to sign up.Some scientists actually suggest that tween site users may be hurting their relationships and brains (really?), but other experts say there's not enough research to prove that.
"For the most part, although there's so much press about all the bad things they're doing, much of what they do on these sites is stuff they would be doing anyway," Kaveri Subrahmanyam, a professor of psychology at California State University-Los Angeles said.

Everyone who has a facebook or myspace annoys me! Those people sometimes just keep asking for me to get one, and then when I say, "I think they're pointless." which they kind of are at this time, they all are like, "what's wrong with her!?" thankfully nothing like that is happening now. The only time it's good to have those is in college to connect with people. Why must we need these social sites where people can stalk us? It's POINTLESS I tell you!

I know that I don't know you, but I must then be annoying, because I have both Facebook and MySpace even though clearly I like Facebook better.
And can you please explain your reasoning why it is pointless? And not really. You don't have to wait until you are in college to get a Facebook. I mean, I am a sophomore in high school and half of my friends obviously attend different schools from me. Sure I can call them and what not, but what if I don't have their number? How else am I supposed to communicate with them? And thanks to Facebook, I have found some of my elementary school friends whom I thought I wouldn't see them in a long time. So your statement is somewhat true, but also makes no sense at all. And what people are you referring to? Strangers? Unless you are a complete idiot, why the hell you would want a stranger to be friends with you on a social networking site? And it's also smart to keep your page private, so the entire world doesn't see. And it depends what you put on your status in order for people to "stalk" you. You may tell me it's pointless, but I refuse to believe it. And yes, I can clearly see you are stating your own "opinion" (enough with the excuses), but I am too, and that's how I feel.
