'Where The Wild Things Are' Washington, D.C. Premiere
It was definitely a 'wild rumpus' when JSYK hit up the Washington, D.C. premiere of Where The Wild Things Are last night with our buddies Luke and Lance. It was raining and cold, but that didn't stop us, or all the other kids and teens there, from coming out to see the movie version of Maurice Sendak's classic children's book.
We really loved the movie - it doesn't have very much talking (there are only ten lines in the book), but there are lots of sounds, lots of music and lots of emotions. Check out our on-the-scene video below. And watch two clips from the movie here.
The D.C. premiere of WTWTA also marked the official launch of the National Wildlife Federation's new Be Out There campaign, which encourages kids to play outside - perfect since most of the movie took place in the forest! Learn more about the program and find activities and events in your area at nwf.org/BeOutThere.
