Nickelodeon Shuts Down For 'WorldWide Day of Play'

What would you do if you had no TV or Internet for three whole hours? Well, Nickelodeon is hoping you'd use that time to hang out outside. On Saturday, September 26, Nick will host its sixth annual Worldwide Day of Play when the network's TV channels and websites will go off air and offline from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. all around the world!

Six countries and every state in the U.S. will be participating in the worldwide event, which "encourages kids and their families to turn off the TV, get up, get out and go play." Nickelodeon will again be partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC for its NYC RBC Race for the Kids, which features appearances by Nick Cannon, Sean Kingston, Yo Gabba Gabba!'s DJ Lance Rock, Melinda Shankar, Sam Earl and Tiki Barber. The 4K race will be held at Manhattan's Riverside Park and will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC raise funds for its amazing children's program!

Many more events will be taking place in your local community, so be on the lookout for them. Check out Nick.com for more details!
