Taylor Swift Likes Good News

Taylor Swift is nice y'all. Check out the message she posted on her Twitter page for Khadija Williams, a girl from L.A. that Taylor read about on good news now.


Khadijah, 18, graduated high school with near perfect grades and was just accepted to Harvard University. That's pretty amazing for anybody, but what makes Khadijah's story even more amazing is that she is homeless and attended 12 different schools in the past 12 years!

No surprise Taylor is a fan of Khadijah's story...she knows a thing or two about success stories herself. Taylor's bio on her official website says that when she was 11 years old, Taylor visited Nashville, Tennessee and dropped off homemade demo tapes at every country music label in town. She was determined to make it as a singer.

Now she is now one country music's brightest stars. Her second album, Fearless, was released in November 2008 just before her 19th birthday and spent nine weeks at the top of the charts, placing her in the all-time top 10 among #1 albums by solo female artists (she's tied with Janis Joplin).
